Akimbo Arkenstone was born Tholon 19th, 280 BE, but didn't arrive in Drakenwood until much later in his life, after already fathering 3 sons within an arranged marriage. Upon arrival in the town, he sought refuge in a pub looking for some fine ale, and discovered the Rogues Guild. Since he'd fallen on hard times during his travels, he fell in with a bad crowd in his search for more gold.
It didn't take long for Akimbo to realise he wasn't happy. One day he decided to change his life, and left the Rogues to meditate with the Bretheren of the Monk Guild, where he soon settled and adopted their ways of life.
Akimbo was soon reunited with his dwarven sons, Skaw, Bhutan and Barandis appeared in Drakenwood together, searching for their father. Akimbo proudly introduced them to his new wife, Asi the gnome cleric, and his daughter, Shakenvac the trainee warmage. Skaw, unable to heed his brother's warning kicks, bluntly reminded his father he was still married to their mother. The following day Akimbo's new wife and daughter vanished, never to be seen again.
Akimbo, nonetheless, embraced his sons return to his life, and watched proudly as they advanced in their chosen fields - Bhutan and Barandis as mighty Clerics, and Skaw as a hardy Ranger. Life passed on quite peacefully for all four, until one day a part of their past caught up with them.
Akimbo discovered his wife, Cobbles, had arrived in Drakenwood and taken up arms as a fighter, hoping to make ends meet through bloodshed. Akimbo and his sons took a full week to get over the shock, and tried to happily embrace her back into their fold, giving in to her demands for their marriage to be recognised once more and formally betrothing himself to her under the Drakenwood Laws.
