Barandis Arkenstone

Barandis Arkenstone was born on Jordal 7th, 60BE in a small mountain village to the Dwarven Union of Akimbo Arkenstone and his wife Cobbles. When his father left to seek new lands, Barandis journeyed after him with his brothers, Bhutan and Skaw.

Upon finding Drakenwood, and then their father, Barandis decided to go with his twin brother to the Church, where both became Clerics. Barandis was wooed by the promises of great power within, and was happy for a while there, slaying evil and undead beasts in the name of the clerical gods. As Bhutan rapidly ascended the ranks, Barandis contented himself with taking his time and enjoying each new experience. Capable at defending himself, despite being stolen from by a stronger rogue, Barandis used his patience to his advantage and caught her with holy vengeance only a short while later.

Barandis is a natural explorer, and has met many tragic circumstances during his wanderings around the Realms. The one he still sulks about was when one of his own kind, a desert dwarf, slew him without provocation, so Barandis has taken more to visiting his usual areas for the time being, but still has no fears about going to new places.

Barandis served as the Cleric Deputy, and decided to question his mother's irrational hatred of of elves by marrying the lovely Delila SoulStar. Soon after Barandis realised his true nature. It was the slaying and not the smiting of evil that really enthused him. The Cleric Guild was far too restrictive for him. His revelation came one day in a pub when he ran into a gang of drunken fighters in the pub who told him the motto of the fighter guild. He decided there and then that he needed to become a fighter to satisfy his bloodythirsty urges. The release of his true personality led him to divorce Delila when he was seduced in a bar by the wanton advances of the even more lovely Selena.
